Mwamba Imara Sacco Ltd was established in 2010 under the Co-operative Societies Act, Cap 496 of 2004. As a Christian-based institution affiliated with Solid Rock Ministry, we began with just 11 members drawn from diverse sectors. Today, we proudly serve a thriving community of over 500 members. Our core mission has always been to create wealth for our members through innovative savings products and affordable credit facilities. Over the years, Mwamba Imara Sacco has experienced significant financial growth, boasting an asset base of over Ksh. 2 million and a loan portfolio exceeding Ksh. 35 million.

Governance and Regulatory Oversight: Transparency and Accountability

Mwamba Imara Sacco is strictly regulated by the Government Department of Co-operatives. Every year, government-appointed Cooperative officers attend all our Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Special General Meetings (SGMs) to ensure compliance. Additionally, our financial reports are audited annually by Government County Cooperative auditors, guaranteeing transparency and accountability in all our operations.

Our members have an equal voice in the Sacco’s leadership, with each member entitled to one vote during elections, regardless of shareholding size. Sacco leaders are elected annually during AGMs to ensure strong, democratic governance.
